Mark Hockett, CEO, Producer and Writer, is originally from Union City, Tennessee. At an early age, Mark acquired a love for music. His musical style is a mix of pop and rhythm and blues. Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Barry White, Babyface and Prince have influenced his musical creativity. Mark has performed at many venues with well known artists such as Lakeside, the Dazz Band, and Ready for the World, just to name a few.

After relocating to Columbus, Ohio, he founded Marko Records in 1997. Mark has always been committed to the community and contributes by helping local up-coming artists’ dreams become a reality. Some of Mark’s community involvement in Ohio include working with WTTE Fox 28 and Pepsi’s “Gimme the Mike Columbus”; ABC 6/ Fox 28 Good Day Columbus; Seeing is Believing Video; Salesian Boys & Girls Club; Milo Grogan Boys & Girls Club Columbus, Ohio; Project for Life; All Kids Count (Franklin County Children’s Services); “Positive Youth Doing Positive Things”; Youth Living on the EDGE Program, Summer Youth Bash, Columbus, Ohio; Chillicothe-Ross County Police Athletic League (PAL); Chillicothe, Ohio, Concert for Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio; Innis Elementary School – Black History Month; Columbus Urban League: Ft Hayes Metropolitan education Center Performing Arts – judge for a talent show; Judge for Hope for Columbus Productions citywide Hidden Talent Show for World Harvest Church of Columbus. OH; and performances at local churches throughout the city of Columbus.

Marko Records studio contains state of the art equipment necessary to ensure your finished project is superior in quality. The studio offers DVD video recording, CD duplication/design, photos and biography writing. Marko Records also offers classes to educate the artists on publishing and copyright laws, along with detailed guidance in the areas of artist development, management and overall career opportunities.

Mark has made great strides and wants his recording studio to serve as a place where diverse new clients can realize their dreams and visions while enhancing their talent. While Mark has worked with many community leaders and organizations during his tenure in the music business, he also develops relevant industry relationships in an effort to see all of his artists’ dreams realized.
